Prior to her move to Canada, she was guest performer and choreographer with Premier Dance Arts Company in Denver, Colorado, founder of the Fort Collins Dance Theatre and on the faculty at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Choreographic credits include over two dozen musicals and operas. Her more recent works include mime-o-dances and masques as well as more traditional and contemporary works reflecting Newfoundland’s rich heritage. Linda’s work has been influenced tremendously as a result of her studies with Jose Limon, Martha Graham, Samuel Avital, and Marcel Marceau.
In recent years, Linda has made numerous trips throughout Canada and the States as a guest artist. She has participated in many seminars and workshops from which she has obtained information that has been of great benefit to the local dance community.
Her resume also includes many directorial credits such as The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady for the Arts and Culture Centre.
In June, 2003 she accepted a 2003 YMCA -YWCA Woman of Distinction Award, in recognition of her many years of devoted energy to dance and young people in St. John’s.
